What Antivirus Program Is The Best For A Computer?

Submitted by admin on September 20, 2009 – 4:30 am16 Comments

I know that Norton might rock, but myself personally, I can’t tolerate the way it uses all of my ram and slows my computer down. I use spy bot, but that isn’t enough. Is there anyone out there who knows of an antivirus program that will not eat up my bank account or my computer’s capacity to function at a normal rate? Thank you for your time……

I’m sure nobody here will agree with me on this, but my perfect “security suite” includes: AVG (free), trojan remover (WAY better than it sounds), adaware (free), zonealarm (with antivirus, otherwise free), and hijackthis (free). Nothing gets past it, and I mean nothing. Everyone reading this, even if in disagreement, should download the trial version of trojan remover here http://www.simplysup.com/. Despite the “fake” sounding name, it really is an amazing program and will most likely find something on your system.

Norton sucks, it is a memory hog and I had viruses slip through it all the time when I had it.
Now I use BitDefender. It is awesome, does not hog memory, and I have yet to have a virus.

  • Sodez says:

    Norton is a terrible antivirus.
AVG, Avira and Avast are the best. They each have a free version and they all stomp Norton.
