Home Network Issues With Broadband And Wi-fi Router. Help!!?
I used to have a single desktop computer wired to a broadband cable modem. I had Internet connection in it and had an easy life. Then a laptop computer joined the hunt from the same source, so I bought a wi-fi router. The problem is, no matter which way I connect my broadband to the router and to computers to those two transmitters, I can only get one of the computers (whichever starts first) having the connection, while the other shows only limited connectivity with no access to Internet.
I was thinking that it is some sort of IP conflict, but both computers worked simultaneously fine during the first two months after the router purchase. My broadband modem has only one Ethernet hub, so I obviously cannot connect both computers directly through it at the same time.
So can you give me some sort of advice as to how I would be able to make both machines work from the same source? Thank you!

Your problem is similar to this link belowhttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
What router are you using?
You could try using static IP address to troubleshoot first.
Ensure that both your PC has a different IP address but on the same subnet, meaning to say, if PC A has 192.168.1.2 then PC B must not have 192.168.1.2 but 192.168.1.(3-254)
Ensure gateway is the same.
Subnet mask the same.
DNS the same.
Buy a 4 port switch and connect both computers to this….
